Helping records feel manageable again
We are a small Chiang Mai team dedicated to calm, careful paperwork organization for people navigating later life admin.
HomeFounded around a simple observation
Fernwood Records began after our founder spent a long afternoon helping a family friend search through boxes of loose papers, trying to find a single certificate buried somewhere among years of accumulated documents. It was clear that the problem was not a lack of care, but a lack of structure and time.
From that starting point, Fernwood Records grew into a small practice based in Chiang Mai, focused entirely on the practical side of record keeping. We do not offer opinions on what someone should do with their paperwork. Instead, we help create order, so that when a decision does need to be made, the right documents are easy to find.
Our approach borrows from library science and home organizing alike: labelled folders, simple indexes, and clear systems that a household member can maintain long after our visit ends. We believe that admin does not need to feel overwhelming, and that a little structure goes a long way toward peace of mind.

How we handle your paperwork
Confidentiality First
Every document is handled with discretion and never shared outside the engagement.
Consistent Method
Every archive follows the same labelling logic, so records stay findable over time.
Household-Led Decisions
We organize what you already have; every choice about the records stays with you.
Community Recognized
Regularly invited to speak at community centers across Chiang Mai on record organization.
Expertise built around everyday paperwork
Fernwood Records works exclusively with households in Chiang Mai who want a clearer picture of the documents they hold. Our practice draws on organizing methods used in archives and small libraries, adapted for home use. We spend time understanding how a household naturally sorts information, then build a labelling system around that habit rather than imposing a rigid structure. The result is an archive that feels familiar rather than foreign, one that family members can maintain without needing our continued involvement. Sessions are conducted in plain, accessible language, and any specific questions about the documents themselves are always redirected to the appropriate qualified professional.
